MCI Group Expands Its International Provider Network with New Healthcare Collaborations Across Europe, Asia and Latin America

International medical assistance depends on having the right healthcare resources available when and where they are needed. For a patient facing illness or injury away from home, access to an appropriate provider can influence every stage of the case, from the first medical assessment to treatment, monitoring and eventual discharge or repatriation.

MCI Group continues to strengthen its international provider network with new collaborations across Thailand, Spain, Uruguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Japan, Honduras, Nepal and Portugal.

These new relationships include hospitals, medical clinics, emergency medical services and assistance partners. Together, they expand the resources available to our teams when coordinating international medical cases and reinforce MCI Group’s ability to support insurers, assistance companies, organisations and their patients across different regions.

Expanding access across Asia

In Bangkok, Thailand, MCI Group has established new collaborations with BNH Hospital and Samitivej Hospital, expanding the options available for patients requiring medical care in one of Asia’s most important international travel destinations.

BNH Hospital is a private hospital located in central Bangkok with a history extending back more than a century. Its origins date to 1898, when it was established to meet the healthcare needs of Bangkok’s expatriate community.

Our collaboration with Samitivej Hospital further strengthens this presence in Thailand. Samitivej operates a group of seven hospitals and provides services for both Thai and international patients, including multilingual support and dedicated international patient services.

In Japan, our new collaboration with JMO, a local TPA, adds an important operational resource for the coordination of international cases. Local assistance partners play an essential role when language, healthcare procedures and administrative requirements need to be managed efficiently between patients, providers and international organisations.

In Nepal, MCI Group has also expanded its network through Swacon International Hospital in Kathmandu. The hospital provides general healthcare services alongside dedicated travel and mountain medicine capabilities, an especially relevant resource in a country where international tourism angtfd mountain travel form an important part of the visitor landscape.

Strengthening our network in Latin America

MCI Group’s continued expansion in Latin America reflects the importance of regional proximity and local provider knowledge within our international assistance model.

In Uruguay, our collaboration with Colectivo Médico Rochense, COMERO, strengthens access to healthcare services in the Department of Rocha. COMERO provides medical services across several locations in the region, including 24-hour emergency care in key communities.

Our network is also growing through new collaborations with Grupo CAMI in El Salvador and

Sanatorio Privado Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Guatemala, increasing the healthcare resources available to our operations in Central America.

In Honduras, the addition of Paramedic EMS provides another important resource for cases requiring emergency medical transport and pre-hospital assistance. The organisation operates from San Pedro Sula, strengthening the options available when rapid local intervention or patient transport is required.

These collaborations complement the work of MCI Latam, our regional hub in the Dominican Republic, which brings MCI Group closer to patients, providers and clients across the Americas. Local knowledge, language, time-zone continuity and direct provider coordination allow international cases to be managed with greater proximity and operational control.

Growing our European healthcare network

In the Canary Islands, MCI Group has added Clinicanaria Internacional to its provider network. Based in the south of Gran Canaria, the clinic provides general medicine, emergency services, laboratory services and other medical specialties, with 24-hour medical assistance and home care available within its coverage area.

The Canary Islands are a major international tourism destination, making reliable local healthcare access especially important for insurers and assistance companies managing cases involving travellers.

In Portugal, our new collaboration with United Medical Clinic Lisboa strengthens our network in Lisbon. The clinic provides private medical services for local residents, expatriates and international patients, supported by a multilingual team and services designed to facilitate access to care for an international population.

A provider network built around real operational needs

For MCI Group, expanding a provider network is not simply about adding more locations to a map.

A strong international network gives our medical and operational teams more options when identifying the most appropriate facility for a particular case. It supports faster coordination, clearer communication with healthcare providers and improved continuity throughout the patient’s medical journey.

It also contributes to effective cost management. Through the wider MCI Group ecosystem, provider coordination can be connected with medical case management, claims review, cost containment and secure financial processing. This integrated approach gives clients greater visibility across the case while helping maintain constructive relationships with healthcare partners.

MCI Assist coordinates the medical and operational aspects of international cases. Medical Claims International supports billing review, claims management and cost containment. MCI Finance facilitates secure provider settlements and financial coordination. MCI Latam strengthens regional operations across the Americas. Together, these capabilities allow MCI Group to manage international healthcare situations as a connected process rather than a series of isolated handovers.

Continuing to build stronger healthcare connections worldwide

Every new provider relationship increases our ability to respond to the practical realities of international medical assistance.

The latest collaborations with BNH Hospital, Clinicanaria, COMERO, Grupo CAMI, Sanatorio Privado Nuestra Señora del Rosario, JMO, Paramedic EMS Honduras, Samitivej Hospital, Swacon International Hospital and United Medical Clinic Lisboa represent another step in the continued development of MCI Group’s international healthcare ecosystem.

As our network grows, our objective remains consistent: to connect patients with appropriate healthcare, support our clients with reliable local resources and make complex international medical cases easier to coordinate from first contact through resolution.
