For MCI Group, MCI Latam, Medical Claims International and MCI Assist, expanding our provider network is not simply about adding more names to a database. Each new collaboration gives us more options when a traveller, insured patient, or corporate client needs medical care away from home.

That can mean finding a suitable clinic in Tokyo, arranging an ambulance in Honduras, organising specialist care in Spain, or coordinating treatment with a hospital group in Latin America.

We are therefore pleased to welcome a new group of healthcare providers and assistance partners to our international network, strengthening our reach across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

International Health Care Clinic | Tokyo, Japan

Our network in Japan has been strengthened through our collaboration with International Health Care Clinic, located in the Shimbashi area of Tokyo.

The clinic provides general medicine, travel medicine, vaccinations, health checks, and international medical transportation. Its team also works with international patients, an important advantage when dealing with travellers and insured members who may be unfamiliar with the Japanese healthcare system.

International Health Care Clinic also has experience in international patient transportation, including medical escort support for transfers to and from Japan.

For an assistance company, this combination of clinical care and international transport experience is particularly useful. Medical cases abroad often require much more than arranging an appointment. In Costa Rica, we are pleased to add Blue Medical to our growing provider network.

Blue Medical operates medical clinics with locations including Alajuela and Cariari and offers care across more than 25 medical specialties. Its services include diagnostic testing, laboratory services, medical imaging, pharmacy services, and other areas of outpatient care.

Costa Rica remains an important destination for international tourism and business travel. Having reliable local medical options allows assistance teams to direct patients more efficiently and maintain closer control over the case from the first consultation through follow-up treatment.

For insurers, this also helps create a clearer and more organised pathway to care rather than relying on last-minute provider searches when an incident occurs.

CDD Las Mercedes and Servicios Oncorad | Venezuela

Our network in Venezuela has also expanded through collaboration with CDD Las Mercedes and Servicios Oncorad.

CDD forms part of Grupo CDD Global, which has operated in the healthcare sector for more than 20 years and maintains several facilities in Venezuela, including CDD Las Mercedes, ONCORAD CDD Los Chaguaramos, CDD Hospital Clínico Maracaibo, and CDD Maturín.

The group has developed a particularly strong presence in diagnostic medicine and oncology. Its facilities include diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy services, together with advanced technology for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

For our international medical network, this collaboration gives us access to a broader range of healthcare resources in Venezuela, especially for cases that require more complex investigation or specialist treatment.

Hospital Haltus Hope | Puebla, Mexico

In Mexico, we welcome Hospital Haltus Hope, located in Puebla.

The facility operates as a centre for minimally invasive and outpatient procedures and is based in the La Paz area of Puebla. Its own institutional documentation describes hospital procedures and medical care protocols designed around patient safety and standardised clinical processes.

Adding a provider in Puebla is important for strengthening our coverage beyond Mexico’s largest international centres.

Travellers do not always become sick or injured in Mexico City, Cancún, or other major tourist destinations. A useful assistance network needs dependable options across different regions of the country, particularly when a case requires local hospital care before a patient can continue travelling or be transferred elsewhere.

Paramedic EMS | Honduras

For this reason, our collaboration with Paramedic EMS in Honduras adds an important ambulance provider to our network.

Our provider network in Peru is growing as well through our collaboration with Sanna Peru, a hospital group that strengthens our access to medical care within the country.

Peru is an important destination for both tourism and international business, but its geography can make healthcare coordination challenging.

Cases may begin far from Lima or involve patients who need to be transferred between facilities before definitive treatment can be arranged.

Adding hospital partners in the country improves our ability to respond to those situations and gives our medical team more options when deciding where a patient should be treated.

Doctor+ | Home Visits and Teleconsultations

Not every medical case needs an emergency department.

Sometimes a patient needs a doctor to evaluate a fever in a hotel room. In other situations, a medical consultation can be managed remotely without asking the patient to travel across an unfamiliar city.

Our new collaboration with Doctor+ helps us cover exactly these types of cases through home medical visits and teleconsultations.

For international assistance, this kind of service has become increasingly valuable.

It can provide faster access to a physician for minor and moderate conditions, help determine whether hospital treatment is actually necessary, and offer an alternative when travelling to a medical facility would create unnecessary difficulty for the patient.

We are pleased to strengthen our specialist coverage in Spain through our collaboration with Dr. Carmena Ivade, dermatologist in Valencia.

Specialist access is an important part of medical assistance that is sometimes overlooked. Not every international case is an emergency. Travellers and expatriates may require dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, or other specialist consultations during their stay abroad.

Having direct relationships with specialists helps reduce unnecessary referrals and allows patients to reach the appropriate physician more efficiently.

Our latest collaborations also extend our assistance capabilities in the Middle East through Trusted Partners Assistance Network Team in Cairo, Egypt.

As a local Third Party Administrator (TPA), the organisation adds another level of on-the-ground support for cases requiring medical coordination in Egypt.

Local knowledge is particularly valuable in international assistance. Knowing which provider to contact is only part of the job. Language, payment arrangements, medical documentation, communication with hospitals, and local procedures can all influence how quickly a case progresses.
