Pink October: Making Time to Learn, Making Space to Care

Taking time to learn about breast cancer is an act of care for ourselves and the people around us. This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MCI Group’s teams in Spain and the Dominican Republic are bringing that care into our offices.

Employees are attending talks online and in person, wearing pink ribbons and taking part in awareness activities, including running events. These shared moments make room in the working day for a subject that can feel difficult to discuss, yet matters deeply to many families.

At MCI Latam, colleagues have already gathered for an awareness session at our Puerto Plata office. The photographs capture a simple scene: people sitting together, listening and learning about a health issue that reaches far beyond the meeting room.

We believe knowledge is a powerful starting point for looking after our health. Reliable information can help people recognise changes and understand when to seek medical advice. Our social media materials reinforce this message, encouraging people to discuss screening with a healthcare professional and have unusual changes assessed.

For MCI Group, social responsibility includes creating opportunities for employees to care for their own wellbeing. It also means making space for empathy, recognising that someone beside us may be living with concerns we know nothing about.

The attention we bring to patients and their families also belongs in our office communities. A colleague who listens, a team that learns together or a ribbon worn in solidarity can help express that care. Each gesture offers a way to take part.

We thank everyone joining these activities across our offices. We invite our clients and wider community to share trusted information and support those affected by breast cancer. The conversations we begin this October deserve to continue throughout the year.
