In Loving Memory of Francisco Rico: An Update to Our Clients and Partners

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we communicate the tragic loss of our beloved colleague, partner and dear friend, Francisco Rico, fondly known to so many of us as Curro. Francisco was one of the victims of the devastating train accident that occurred on October 28 in Toledo.

Curro was an exceptional professional, an irreplaceable pillar of our day-to-day life, a loyal companion and a genuine source of warmth, optimism and integrity. His presence touched every project we undertook and his absence leaves an immense void across our entire organization and throughout the industry community.

Faced with this unexpected loss, our company made the necessary decision to cancel our attendance at the ITIC Global Istanbul conference. We offer our most sincere apologies to all clients, partners and colleagues with whom we had scheduled meetings in Istanbul. We deeply regret any disruption this may cause to your agendas and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gracious understanding as our team navigates this period of grief.

We also wish to express our deepest appreciation for the overwhelming outpouring of condolence messages, floral tributes, and gestures of solidarity we have received from around the world. Your kind words have provided immense comfort to both our team and Curro’s family during these dark hours.

Over the weekend, family, friends and colleagues gathered in Madrid to accompany Curro on his final journey. His cremation took place on the morning of November 1st at the Almudena Cemetery, where we bid him a dignified and heartfelt farewell.

We will honor Curro’s memory by upholding the dedication, kindness and passion that defined his life and career.
